Moraga has always been my home base, starting with birth in 1953.
I attended Del Rey, Inland Valley Intermediate, and Miramonte High School. My first year of college was at Arizona State on a track scholarship and then I received a BA in Economics in 1976 from the University of California, Berkeley.
I married Karen in 1984 and daughter Karrie was born in 1985. I legally adopted Karen’s son, Devan, from a previous marriage. Both children attended Camino Pablo, Joaquin Moraga Intermediate, and Campolindo HS. Karrie graduated from UC Santa Barbara and Devan lives a wonderful life in the Gold Country! I lost my wife Karen to Cancer in 2011. My Dog Hank is 15. Moraga has brought wonderful memories. I can tell many stories of old Moraga, Old California, or even how I survived a plane crash, and am very lucky to be writing these words.
I am a 7th generation Californian, a Los Californiano or “original” Californian, my ancestors are the Berrellezza (Berryessa) Family.
